Childhood friend from Nice had these flowers waiting for me, to thank me for flying in to watch and entertain his mom and my "French auntie" so he could take a break from eldercare. My French auntie and my mom were best friends after mom moved us to the French Riviera. The bonds with my French auntie ran deep!
