Record Heat

I went up to Jackson Lake to paint the mountains across it. The weather was unseasonably hot and already there was the haze of smoke. The noon-time sun and the distance of the mountains posed a real technical challenge, but after four hours of struggling, I think I captured the feeling of those mountains.
