The University Club is a classic building in downtown Santa Barbara. The Club originated in 1918, but moved to its present location in 1923. Its architectural style is Spanish Colonial Revival, the same as that employed in the original planning of my hometown, San Clemente, California. I painted this because I was attracted by its beauty, and the warmth of the place.
