This is a small nocturnal study of the old village of Ardglass in County Down, Northern Ireland. It was painted quickly using a climbers head torch for light. The subject had a particular resonance for me as I had recently been researching my family history and had discovered that my ancestry was connected with the area right back to the 17th century. the play of light from the differing light sources of sodium (orange) and LED (greenish) lights gave a stunning display of light.
