Low Tide, Ballyhack

Studio Pastel work done on hand primed watercolour paper. This work was done from studies of the decaying old boats at Ballyhack harbour on the southern coast of county wexford in Ireland. These old boats have great character, many of them are old wooden fishing boats and the have a great combination of colour and texture. I was aware that they would be removed at some stage and sadly they are mostly now all gone having been 'cleaned up' by the council.
